Some tips when renting a vacation home:

Make sure that you ask for all costs to ensure you know what you are getting into…such as bed taxes. Typically housekeeping is extra if you want it done daily, so keep that in mind when cost comparing. You don’t want to find out the hidden costs after you get there. Deposits are usually required to hold your reservations. Also, be sure to check into their cancellation policy in case there is an unexpected need.
